Europlacer Americas announces that it has added Mike Foster to its management team as Director of Business Development. He will be working alongside Chris Merow, who was recently promoted to Director of Sales. These important new directorships constitute a cooperative move to strengthen the company’s sales operations across the Americas in the light of expanding sales growth.

Mike Foster is a proficient and respected electronics industry professional with extensive experience in the SMT assembly equipment market. In his previous roles, Mike served as General Manager and National Sales Director for various manufacturing equipment suppliers. He brings numerous assets to the robust Europlacer team, including a proven track record of developing strong infrastructures and securing new business using a highly consultative approach. This methodology aligns perfectly with the customer-driven philosophy that underpins Europlacer Americas – as evidenced by the company’s achievement of receiving the Service Excellence Award in the pick-and-place category for the past four years in a row.

“Mike’s industry success and skill sets match up perfectly with our goals to improve our growth trajectory, while reinforcing our customer-focused framework,” says John Perrotta, President of Europlacer Americas. “We are excited to bring him on-board to support our executive team and our new business development objectives. The timing is great as we explore new strategies to reinforce the growth we’ve enjoyed over the last five years. I know that Mike’s expertise will help bring many new partners into our family of customers.”

Chris Merow, who was promoted to Director of Sales, is an integral team member who has played a critical role in the growth of Europlacer Americas since 2011.
Chris’s industry career also spans decades and includes vast experience in through-hole and SMT pick-and-place systems with multiple equipment vendors. “Chris Merow’s promotion allows us to highlight both his contribution towards past successes, and his ideas for our next level of anticipated growth. Chris personifies our key differentiators in this market, which include absolute integrity in all business dealings and the development of trust from day one,” Perrotta adds. “We are ideally positioned, given the recent global release of our new atom platform, as we look to broaden our reach into the automated PCB assembly sector.”
