MOSS, NORWAY -- A PartnerTech subsidiary here will likely close and cost all the site's workers their jobs.

PartnerTech AS today informed representatives of the company’s personnel groups about the intention to restructure, a move that "concerns all personnel," Scanfil said.

PartnerTech was acquired by Scanfil this summer, and is in the process of being integrated.

PartnerTech will open negotiations with representatives of the personnel groups, in accordance with Norway law. The option of discontinuing production at the factory will also be discussed in the negotiations.

The EMS company will take approximately $5.3 million to $7.9 million in restructuring charges, up to $6 million in cash.

The site performs metal fabrication and electromechanical assembly for the oil and gas and marine industries. PartnerTech acquired the plant from Th Kristiansen AS in 2007.
