TABY, SWEDEN – Mycronic has acquired 75% of RoyoTech Digitalelektronik and has an option to acquire the remaining 25%. At the same time Mycronic has acquired 100% of Kognitec Vertrieb and Service. Both companies are based in Höhenkirchen, Germany.

RoyoTech develops and manufactures the SMD Tower for storage of electronic components, while Kognitec distributes the tower.

Mycronic has marketed the SMD Tower worldwide since 2008 and is RoyoTech’s main distributor and largest customer.

The companies will be consolidated into the Mycronic Group as of Jan. 1, 2016.

No financial terms of the agreements were disclosed.
