SAN JOSE, CA – Sanmina reported second fiscal quarter revenue ended Apr. 2 of $1.61 billion, up 5.2% year-over-year and sequentially.

GAAP net income was $30.4 million, up 107% compared to the same fiscal quarter in 2015. GAAP operating income was $61.1 million, or 3.8% of revenue, compared to $49.7 million, or 3.3% of revenue, in the second fiscal quarter of last year.  

Integrated Manufacturing Solutions revenue was up $76 million, or 61.1%, sequentially, while Components, Products, and Services revenue was down $3 million, or 0.9%.

"Solid execution coupled with growth in the majority of our market segments drove improvements in our results for the second quarter.  Revenue was up sequentially and year-over-year, and we achieved our highest earnings per share in over ten years," said Jure Sola, chairman and CEO of Sanmina.

Ending cash and cash equivalents were $407.3 million, while cash flow from operations was $142.6 million.

The electronics manufacturer expects fiscal third quarter revenue ending July 2 of between $1.625 billion and $1.675 billion.
