PARIS -- AsteelFlash has started production at its newly built state-of-the-art electronics assembly facility La Soukra, Tunisia.

The 113,020 sq. ft. facility has been designed with dedicated customer production areas, for better productivity and communication. The site has more than five full SMT lines and inspection equipment.

An official inauguration will take place later this year.

AsteelFlash generates more than $200 million in revenue from its sites in Tunisia. Production at its facility in Fouchana will ultimately be transferred to La Soukra, a company spokesman told CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY. Its plant in Megrine will remain open.

In 2015, AsteelFlash had revenues of $755 million, which placed it 30th on the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Top 50 list, to be published later this week. It has 18 manufacturing sites on four continents.
