GREATER NOIDA, INDIA – Oppo Electronics is investing some $15 million to build a new factory here.

The smartphone manufacturing facility is expected to be completed later in the year, with the capacity to make 10 million units annually.

The move follows Indian investments by Lenovo and Xiaomi in the past year. India is now the second-largest smartphone market globally, according to Counterpoint Research, say reports.
