ATLANTA, GA – CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Magazine today announced Kimball Electronics as its EMS Company of the Year for 2016.

The distinction is bestowed annually on EMS companies that have demonstrated profitability and sustained excellence among their peers over a period of years.

For more than three decades, Jasper-IN, USA-based Kimball Electronics has been a premier manufacturer of high-reliability electronics. The company has focused on automotive, medical, industrial and public safety, concentrating on heavily engineered products requiring a focused supply chain.

The EMS firm is poised to set company records for revenue and net profits in 2016, and is on track to reach its goal of $1 billion in revenue for its fiscal 2018.

“Kimball Electronics has leveraged subtle connections among its key end-markets to devise a winning formula over a long period of time,” said Mike Buetow, editor-in-chief of CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY. “Its top- and bottom-line numbers continue to grow, even while banking a large portion of its fortunes on the highly competitive, cost-sensitive automotive market.

“Just as important, its leadership has demonstrated a canny ability to adapt to the changing times and technologies without losing sight of what it does well,” Buetow added. “For its long history of vision and execution, we are pleased to announce Kimball Electronics as our ninth EMS Company of the Year.”

Kimball Electronics joins AsteelFlash, Fabrinet, Creation Technologies, Jabil, Key Tronic EMS, Lightspeed Technologies, Plexus and Venture Corp. in the select group of winners of the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY EMS Company of the Year.
