SAN JOSE, CA – Sanmina posted second fiscal quarter revenue of $1.68 billion, up 4.3% year-over-year and down 2.3% sequentially.

For the quarter ended Apr. 1, GAAP net income was $31.7 million, up 4.3% year-over-year.

GAAP operating income was $58.2 million, or 3.5% of revenue, compared to $61.1 million, or 3.8% of revenue.

"We delivered another quarter of consistent operating margin, EPS expansion and solid cash flow generation," said Jure Sola, chairman and CEO. "We expect the second half of the fiscal year to be stronger than the first half.  We remain confident in our strategy and our ability to drive continuous improvements in fiscal 2017."

For the fiscal second quarter, ending cash and cash equivalents were $432.5 million, and cash flow from operations was $88.7 million.

The company expects third fiscal quarter revenue between $1.7 billion and $1.8 billion.
