TABY, SWEDEN – Mycronic posted second quarter net sales of $109.3 million, up nearly 97% year-over-year.

EBIT for the April to June quarter was $37.7 million, an increase of 196.2% compared to the same period in 2016. Orders were $56.3 million, down 39.5% year-over-year.

“Consolidated net sales increased 97%, from both organic growth within Assembly Solutions and Pattern Generators, and from the acquired operations,” said Lena Olving, CEO and president.

The firm’s net sales for the first half of 2017 were $190.5 million, up 97% compared to 2016. EBIT for the first six months of the year was $56.8 million, an increase of 245.3%. Orders were $134.6 million, down 28.6%.

“During the first half of the year, our efforts resulted in the introduction of the MYPro product series for efficient electronics production,” said Olving. “During April and May, we have successfully launched two new machine platforms within the MYPro series, the MY700 and MY300, for dispensing and component mounting.”

Mycronic expects 2017 net sales of more than $336 million.
