The redesigned RD-500 Series II rework stations from DEN-ON Instruments Co. of Japan offer features to make rework and repair of lead-free components and connectors more efficient.

Have an additional auto-profile feature, "Dual-Point Auto Profiling," which provides closed-loop temperature control between the top of component and the ball/pad junction to minimize thermal delta. An automated cooling fan can quickly cool the part.

Features include:

Three-point Heating System for Lead-Free Rework
- Localized Hot Gas Top Heater
- Localized Hot Gas Bottom Heater
- Infrared Area Heater (moveable)

Two-point Cooling System
- Blow cool air thru Top and/or Bottom Local Nozzles
- Integrated Cooling Fan

Two-point Auto-Profiling prevents package over-temperature
- Controls the solder ball and package temperatures

Optional Side-Inspection Video System
-Enables users to visually monitor the solder reflow process in action.

Profile Verification
- Precise time and temperature feedback and control
- User defined Rules-based (pass/fail) profile verification.
