OK International Launches Multi Function Rework System Print E-mail
Contributed by Robin Norvell

Multi Function Rework System is a single bench-top unit with tools to solder, desolder and rework complex assemblies. Compact power unit offers two ports where tools can be attached quickly for rework applications, SMT tasks and through-hole soldering and desoldering. For heavier or more varied workloads, multiple units can be interlocked to power as many tools as necessary.

Offers a choice of heater tips or tip cartridges. Heater tips meet the demands of point-to-point production soldering; while tip cartridges are suitable for high performance soldering and rework applications.

Tools, heater tips and tip cartridges are easy to assemble and use, even with Pb-free materials. SmartHeat technology senses the amount of heat energy needed at the pad and provides it instantaneously.

Has ESD-safe materials and built-in ground continuity-sensing technology.

Tools include: a Precision Tweezer System, Solder/Rework Cartridge System, Production Solder Tip System and MFR-DSI and MFR-DSX desoldering stations.

“Auto Standby” and “Auto Off” functions use motion detection technology to save on energy usage and prolong tip life. Work stand design incorporates tip cleaning and maintenance. Requires no calibration.
