Sparton CEO Hockenbrocht Retires Print E-mail
Written by Chelsey Drysdale
Monday, 10 March 2008
JACKSON, MISparton Corp. CEO and president David W. Hockenbrocht has retired, effective March 7. He also resigned as a director.

Sparton’s board appointed CFO Richard L. Langley as interim president and CEO. Joseph S. Lerczak will act as interim CFO.

Hockenbrocht was Sparton’s president for 30 years, and CEO since 2000.

“My retirement will end a 30-year career at Sparton that has been filled with interesting work with great people and many challenges. I shall miss the personal associations developed over the years and the challenges of the public company arena. However, after due consideration, I believe it is now time for the next generation of leadership to take the reins at Sparton and time for me to spend more time with family and other private interests,” said Hockenbrocht in a press release.
