Sanmina to Beat Q3 Guidance Print E-mail

SAN JOSE – Sanmina-SCI today reported that third-quarter revenue from continuing operations was approximately $1.9 billion, topping the EMS company’s previous guidance of $1.77 billion to $1.87 billion.
The results exclude the company’s PC business, which was sold July 7 and has been classified as a discontinued operation.

At $1.9 billion, sales would be down 24% from same quarter last year.

In a research note, Deutsche Bank Equity Research analyst Sherri Scribner wrote, “[The] positive results show the benefit of selling the PC business and focusing on the company's core EMS business.”

Sanmina-SCI will release its quarterly results on July 23.
