ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL – IEST has published a new document that defines and describes highly accelerated life testing (HALT) and highly accelerated stress screening (HASS). IEST-RP-PR003.1 HALT and HASS covers the philosophy behind testing, generic examples of tests, differences between standard testing equipment and equipment used for highly accelerated testing, fixturing considerations, alternative approaches, additional environments, and lessons learned.
