CHANG'AN, DONGGUAN, CHINA -- PartnerTech today inaugurated its new surface mount and box build factory here, the company's first in China. The EMS company has named Steven Tan managing director of the operation. PartnerTech president and CEO Leif Thorwaldsson "We have been present in China for some time now offering both production and supply-chain services and there is an increasing demand from our customers for a more complete offering of low cost manufacturing. In these new premises we can offer a more complete range of services locally and also provide better service to customers who want to enter or expand their business in China.” The new 53,819 sq. ft. site will perform printed circuit board assembly, electronics subassembly and box build, systems integration, enclosures and mechanics. The firm also has a partnership with 3CEMS in Guangzhou.
