BILLINGSTAD, NORWAY -- Kitron ASA named Israel Losada Salvador chief operating officer, effective Feb. 1, 2013. Salvador, who was a supply chain manager at Schlumberger, will be responsible for the contract electronics manufacturer's manufacturing, supply chain and quality. Salvador has extensive experience in the oil and gas sector and master's degrees in finance and administration and engineering. "Salvador will play a key role in our efforts to optimize our supply chain across the group. This is a new position in Kitron which we believe will be important to drive performance improvement. Our ambition to reduce inventory by NOK 100 million over the next year is one example of an area where we target improvement," said Jørgen Bredesen, chief executive.
