MINNEAPOLIS – The SMTA announced election results for the board of directors for the term that began at SMTAI in October. Randy Schueller, Ph.D., DfR Solutions, was elected as the new treasurer. Scott Nelson, Harris Corp., was elected to the Planning Committee. As previously reported, Bill Barthel, Plexus Corp., was elected president. Others remaining on the board include VP technical programs, Marie Cole, IBM; VP communications, Michelle Ogihara, Seika Machinery; VP membership, Roy Starks, Libra Industries; VP expos, Hal Hendrickson, Nordson Dage, and secretary, David Steele, DA-TECH Corp. Planning Committee members also include chair, Jeff Kennedy, Celestica; Raiyomand Aspandiar, Ph.D., Intel Corp.; Scott Priore, Cisco Systems, and Brian Toleno, Ph.D., Henkel Corp. Departing directors include Dan Baldwin, Engent, Tom Forsythe, Kyzen Corp., and Denis Barbini, Universal Instruments.
