SANTA ANA, CA – A PV Module Reliability webinar will take place Jan. 17. Sarah Kurtz, manager of the Reliability Group at NREL, will discuss the International PV Module Quality Assurance Task Force Activities. The presentation will focus on the work on developing a single set of tests to provide confidence in the ability to predict the long-term performance of PV modules. Task Force Activities include PV QA guidelines for manufacturing consistency; testing for thermal and mechanical fatigue, including vibration; testing for humidity, temperature, and voltage; testing for diodes, shading and reverse bias; testing for UV, temperature and humidity; communication of PV QA ratings to the industry; testing for wind loading, thin-film PV and CPV.
