| Nam Tai Closer to JIC Sale |

MACAO, CHINA – EMS provider Nam Tai Electronics today announced negotiations have begun to sell its entire interest in its subsidiary, J.I.C Technology Co. to an unidentified company. Nam Tai holds about 75% of the outstanding share capital of JIC. The JIC group of companies performs software development, data processing, and electronics hardware design and development for Japanese firms. Its operations are primarily in Shenzhen.
