More than a dozen employees at Europlacer’s global manufacturing hub in Rocheserviere, France, celebrated long service of 20 or 30 years with the company on a prestigious champagne river cruise in the nearby city of Nantes.
They were accompanied by VIP customers and international Europlacer personnel in town to attend the opening of the company’s new premises expansion.
Timed to coincide with the official opening of the company’s factory extension and smart new customer area, the river cruise invitation list included Europlacer staff members with a staggering combined total of service at the Rocheserviere plant well in excess of 630 years.
Guests on the evening cruise along the Erdre River from Nantes enjoyed the comfort and splendour of glass-sided river boats equipped with arrays of intense floodlighting along each flank, designed to illuminate the many impressive chateaux that line the river. Exquisite food and fine champagne served on board were accompanied by the relaxing sounds of a jazz trio.
Europlacer boasts a remarkable track record of staff retention, probably unmatched in the electronics manufacturing sector, with 16% of its workforce serving over 20 years with the company and 8% more than 30 years.
