MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Nortech Systems Inc. (NSYS) announced that Jay D. Miller and Dr. Steven Rosenstone were recently elected to its board of directors.

Miller’s executive leadership and business experience span a wide range of medical technology companies. He serves as the acting chairman of the board of NXC Imaging, a medical imaging distribution company, and on the boards of NerveVision, a developer of medical software products, and MRI Instruments, Inc., a developer of magnetic resonance imaging products. Previously Miller held CEO positions with IMRIS, Inc., which designs image-guided surgical solutions, and Zonare, Inc. and Vital Images, Inc. in the medical imaging and visualization industry. Earlier career experience includes the healthcare businesses of both Siemens and GE. Miller has also advised and served on the boards of a number of other healthcare companies.

Dr. Rosenstone brings broad experience in higher education leadership, workforce development and international markets and culture. He was the chancellor of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities from 2011 until his retirement in 2017. Previously he held positions with the University of Minnesota, including vice president of scholarly and cultural affairs and dean of the College of Liberal Arts. Earlier he was on the faculty at Yale University and the University of Michigan. Dr. Rosenstone has served on numerous boards and commissions including the Minnesota Business Partnership and the Governor’s Workforce Development Board. He twice traveled to the People’s Republic of China on behalf of the University of Minnesota and was a member of Governor Mark Dayton’s 2016 trade mission to Mexico.
