Hanover, September 2018 – Viscom AG is officially involved in the Fuji Smart Factory. The Fuji Corporation initiative aims to standardize communication between machines in electronics manufacturing. For this purpose, the production lines are connected to the company's Nexim software.
The “Fuji Smart Factory with Nexim” has 20 members together with Viscom and other well-known companies from the electronics industry. The Fuji Corporation, one of the most technologically innovative manufacturers of assembly systems for the electronics industry, is the initiator and drives forward the development of standardized rules for production facilities and logistics systems so that these can largely take over their own organization and communication.
Using specially created interfaces, information can be exchanged with the line control of the Fuji Smart Factory across manufacturers, enabling flexible automated production. "We have already had many positive experiences, especially with our Viscom Quality Uplink in the area of line networking and are very pleased to extend this in a new direction as a cooperation partner of Fuji," comments Carsten Salewski, Executive Board Member Sales, Marketing and International Business of Viscom AG.
With its Quality Uplink, Viscom offers versatile possibilities for automated information exchange and intelligent data linking: inspection results from different inspection stages can be easily combined. Parameters of paste printers and automatic placement machines, in turn, can be precisely adjusted via closed-loop connections depending on the result of the solder paste inspection.
For customers who have already integrated a non-Viscom solder paste inspection into the line, the company also implements a networking to the Viscom AOI and AXI systems via a specially developed open interface, the Open Interface 4.0. Across manufacturers, Viscom is not only involved in the Fuji Smart Factory but also in the IPC CFX (Connected Factory Exchange) and “The Hermes Standard” initiatives.
