Vass, NC – 20 Sept 2018 – PACE Worldwide will participate as a sponsor in the IPC Hand Soldering Competition being hosted at the What’s New in Electronics (WNIE) Show in Birmingham UK from 25-26 September.
Skilled competitors will use PACE’s new ADS200 AccuDrive Production Soldering Station as they vie for cash prizes: 1st place — £200 (and bragging rights as the best hand soldering technician in the United Kingdom) plus a trip to the World Hand Soldering Championship at IPC APEX EXPO 2019; 2nd place — £100; 3rd place — £50. Assemblies will be judged on soldering in accordance with IPC-A-610G Class 3 criteria, the speed at which the assembly was produced and overall electrical functionality of the assembly. IPC-A-610 Master Instructors will serve as the judges. The soldering station being used during the competition is PACE’s ADS200, which features a rugged, all-metal design, including housing, soldering iron and tool stand. The system is intuitive and easy to operate – just power it on, set the temperature with arrow keys and start soldering. No training required. The ADS200 is supplied with groundbreaking new TD-200 Tip-Heater Cartridge Soldering Iron, with its sleek and ergonomic aluminum handle designed to stay cool and comfortable during continuous production soldering.
