HOLLIS, NH – A prominent electronics assembly benchmark and consulting company is launching a study on electronics box assembly cost of conversion benchmarks.

“This is an important first step in fulfilling the evolving needs of OEM and EMS organizations for box level benchmark information,” said Steve Kalenik, CEERIS International senior consultant, in a press statement.

CEERIS is soliciting survey participants from all segments of electronics assembly. OEMs may choose to participate with data from  internal operations or by facilitating data from their box assembly outsource suppliers. CEERIS also seeks participation from multiple sites within single companies.

The methodology to assemble conversion cost statistics as designed by CEERIS is based on specific box assembly part numbers deemed representative of a given shop floor environment or product type. By limiting the study to selected part numbers, participants do not have to research and disclose more data than is necessary, the firm said. All responses are kept confidential, CEERIS said.

CEERIS has specialized for years in assembly operations performance.

Participants will receive a complimentary copy of the executive summary.
