AVX to Purchase American Technical for $231M

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Passives components maker AVX Corp. has agreed to buy American Technical Ceramics for about $231 million in cash.
American Technical makes ceramic and tantalum capacitors.
AVX’s customers include Nokia, Robert Bosch and Flextronics International.
