Mega Ion solvent cleaning system is compatible with DI water, water alcohol mixtures, pure alcohol, evaporative hydrocarbons (like cyclohexane), commercial solvent blends (like Axarel 2200) and vapor degreasing solvents like (TCE or NPB). Wash and rinse cycles incorporate a spray under immersion process with strategically located venturi nozzles for cleaning efficiency. Agitation can be controlled to handle sensitive wire-bonded substrates or difficult to clean, tightly-spaced flip chip technology. Process chamber is always empty when not in use and must be closed and latched before cleaning cycle begins. for added safety. Automated solvent replenishment ensures operator is never in contact with wash fluid during normal operation. Process tank drains to integrated holding tank at a controlled rate to minimize drag-out. Ionic testing is based on ROSE, for quantifying ionic contamination of the circuit board after or before cleaning. Unique regeneration system increases bath life by removing flux, finger soils and other manufacturing soils from the wash solution without heat or condensing coils. Is said to maintain solvent purity levels at a higher standard than the solvent as received from vendor. Closed-loop environment with wash bath life maintained through the use of an integrated ionic exchange filter system. Provides “Pass or Fail” indication for IPC J-STD cleanliness limits for finished assemblies.
