AccuID produces a unique reel ID barcode label for each SMT component reel. Benchtop system has simple user interface; operator places reel in system and scan begins automatically.

Camera decodes all barcodes on reel in about two sec.; sends required data to database based on prefix on each label. Decoding is omni-directional; can decode down to 5mils on 1-D barcode labels and down to 10mils on 2-D barcode labels. Software emulates keystroke to send label to any application on PC in predetermined sequence; can interface with most existing SMT placement equipment systems. Can be used for incoming inspection to verify accuracy of barcode labels on reel. Applications include creating and printing SMT component reel ID barcode label for inventory systems, SMT placement equipment verification systems, and traceability. Has capability to read multiple barcodes in any orientation on SMT component reels in a single pass. Accommodates component reels from 7" diameter to 15" diameter. Desktop unit is 17" x 15" x 27".
