TALLIN, ESTONIA -- Elcoteq, the world's 12th largest EMS company, plans to rehire up to 300 workers at its plant here, a company’s spokeswoman said. "We expect our orders to increase and could have a demand for new workforce,” the spokeswoman said. The electronics manufacturing services company said the Tallinn plant would peak at 2,500 workers, up 300 from current levels. Two hundred workers will fill new spots, while 100 others will be recalled from furloughs.
The spokeswoman denied reports that Elcoteq has plans to close one of its plants in Tallinn.
