SINGAPORE– Venture
Corp. Ltd., the world's 15th largest EMS company, reported third-quarter revenue rose 3.2% year-over-year to S$965.6 million. In US dollar terms, revenues were up 13.8% to $698 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30. For third quarter, net cash from operations was S$72.2 million. At quarter's end, Venture had S$314 million (US$210 million) in cash and equivalents on hand.
The after-tax profit was S$40.1 million (US$26.9 million). Operational earnings excluding non-operational charges and income were S$73.8 (US$49.4) million.
In a press statement, Venture said, "In a worsening macroeconomic environment, there is greater impetus for OEMs to outsource in order to strengthen their competitiveness and maintain their market/leadership position. More customers are looking for total value-chain management with end-to-end solutions. Venture is well-positioned to take advantage of these opportunities."
