TEMPE, AZMeptec and SMTA are combining their 2009 Medical Electronics symposia.

The two-day technical program will be held Sept. 16-17 at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. ASU’s College of Nursing and Healthcare Innovation will cosponsor this event.
 
The symposium will focus on medical electronics and medical device applications. The technical committee is soliciting 300-word abstracts that will share the most up-to-date information about company electronics expertise, practices, technology and applications.
 
No technical papers are required to speak at the symposium.
 
Session topics include market trends and forecast in medical electronics; emerging materials and technologies; component manufacturing, including sensors (chip and packaging level, etc.); system level products and applications – instrumentation (defibrillators, etc.); materials and design; systems manufacturing (i.e. PWB/PCB assembly, stacked packages); reliability/safety/regulatory/testing, and implantable products and applications.
