ALAMEDA, CA – Quarterly Forum, the now-former electronics manufacturing research arm of Technology Forecasters Inc., has launched a regular newsletter looking at the key levers impacting the economy.

Coordinated by TFI Quarterly Forum chief economist Matt Chanoff, the Financial Crisis Monitor offers a synthesized view of various federal policies, banking status and fiscal stimulus plans. The macroeconomics are then distilled for their potential impact on EMS companies.

A recent issue, for example, reviewed monetary policy decisions, then commented on the type of EMS players that might be affected, and how.

The newsletter, which is published quarterly, also looks at regional and end-market developments.

Separately, TFI Quarterly Forum announced it has changed its name to InForum for the Electronics Industry, and will now offer a free membership to individuals. The company is now based in Chicago.

Ed.: The original reporting indicated the newsletter would be published monthly. In fact, it will be published quarterly.
