TALLIN, ESTONIA -- Ericsson has officially assumed control of the former Elcoteq production plant here, the company said.

The deal between the telecom OEM giant and ailing EMS company closed July 30.

The plant is expected to have annual run rate of EEK 3 billion and will employ more than 1,200 workers.
