STERLING, VA -- Zollner Elektronik and EIT Inc. announced an agreement under which the two EMS companies would jointly offer facilities and share resources, including manufacturing and engineering.

As part of the agreement, Zollner's US branch will site its offices at EIT in Northern Virginia. EIT’s US manufacturing and engineering operations will support Zollner’s customers NPI and production needs in the US. In return, EIT will have access to Zollner’s 15 worldwide manufacturing locations.

No financial terms were disclosed.

Zollner is one of the world's 12 largest EMS companies, with annual revenues topping $1 billion according to the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Top 50.

In a press release, Zollner Elektronik CEO Johann Weber said, “We are confident that Zollner has taken the proper path for a successful future by making this strategic decision. We firmly believe that our engagement with EIT will make a significant contribution to be well-positioned when the market recovers.”
