NEW YORK – The global consumer electronics market will grow at a CAGR of about 5% from 2009 to 2012, a new research report says.

The firm estimates the 2008 consumer electronics market was worth $335.2 billion.

Geographically, the US drives the industry, the firm said, followed by Europe. However, those regions will be eclipsed by the Asia Pacific, although the firm did not specify the time frame.
