LAKE FOREST, CA -- EMS firm Probe Manufacturing is betting its future on its past. The company is returning its cofounder to the chief executive's chair, bringing Kam Mahdi back to the position he held from 1996 to 2005.

Mahdi cofounded the company in 1996, and and served as its president and CEO until October 2005.

After leaving Probe in 2005, Mahdi launched Billet Electronics, an independent distributor of electronics components and provider of value-added services.

Prior to Probe, he spent six years as technical sales manager at Future Electronics.
