SAN JOSE – North America-based manufacturers of semiconductor equipment posted $863.3 million in orders in December, up 8.3% sequentially, according to SEMI.
The book-to-bill ratio on a three-month average basis was 1.03, down slightly from November but above the key 1.0 mark indicating future growth.
A book-to-bill of 1.03 means $103 worth of orders was received for every $100 of product billed for the month.
Billings for the month were $842.2 million, up 11.6% compared to November.
