SMYRNA, GA -- Overall registration for Virtual PCB (virtual-pcb.com) jumped 30% from a year ago as more than 2,900 PCB designers, fabricators and assemblers registered for the industry's only virtual trade show and conference.

The live event was held Mar. 2-4, and was accessible in archive mode for two months after the live event ended.

Over the course of the event, more than 1,600 attendees walked the virtual show floor. There, they participated in more than 1,500 Webinars or chats and engaged in more than 4,200 different content views. Exhibitors averaged 500 unique visitors per booth.

Visitors came from all over the world: 58% from North America, 17% from Asia, and 18% from Europe. Almost 50% were from OEMs, 20% with EMS companies, 19% from design service bureaus and 13% from PWB fabrication and related service companies.

"This was most successful Virtual PCB yet, both on the basis of the attendance and the participation,” said Mike Buetow, Editor in Chief of CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY, which cosponsored Virtual PCB. “Moreover, almost every registrant had buying authority, evidence that virtual shows aren’t just for gawkers.”

A fully interactive, Web-based event, Virtual PCB incorporates all the critical features of a live event while allowing PCB design, fabrication and assembly equipment and materials buyers and sellers to interact online.
