ANGLETON, TX – Benchmark Electronics Inc. announced sales of $589 million for the quarter ended June 30, up 22% year-over-year.

The EMS firm reported second-quarter net income of $21 million, up 74% compared to the same period in 2009, excluding restructuring charges.

Sales for the third quarter are expected to range from $590 million to $630 million.
