EAST TROY, WI -- Electronics contract manufacturer Universal Electronics opened a 27,500 sq. ft. manufacturing facility here, the company announced.

The site, which performs printed circuit board assemblies and box build, replaces a facility in Mukwonago, WI. UEI also operates plants in Whitewater, WI, and Eden Prairie, MN.

The new plant is running at 50% capacity and employs about 300, according to published reports.
