ZHENGZHOU CITY, CHINA -- Foxconn reportedly has broken ground on a handset-assembly plant in a business park in this northern China city.
Foxconn already has a handset component manufacturing plant here that opened this quarter, DigiTimes reported. The new site will come online in the first quarter 2011, the media site said, citing industry sources in Taiwan.
The new factory will have an initial monthly capacity of 100,000 handsets, DigiTimes said.
