TAMIL NADU, INDIA -- Contract assembly firm Syrma Technology will expand its footprint outside Chennai, adding a 20,000 sq. ft. to its manufacturing site by year-end.

The electronics manufacturing services firm said the site will build custom RFID tags and telecommunications infrastructure products. Syrma will add about 200 workers by December, the company said, bringing the total to roughly 800, according to the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Directory of EMS Companies.

The existing site is 100,000 sq. ft.
