SINGAPOREVenture Corp. Ltd. reported revenue of $524.1 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, up 3.7% sequentially.
Profit after tax was $37.6 million, up 17% year-over-year, and up 6% sequentially.

As of Sept. 30, cash and cash equivalent balances stood at $341.6 million.

For the first nine months of 2010, Venture registered sequential quarterly improvement in revenue across most segments. Profit after tax for the period was $103.5 million, up 6% year-over-year.

A few customers have exercised caution in their demand commitments going into the fourth quarter, says the firm. Overall, the company expects sequential revenue growth to continue into the fourth quarter.

Electronics components and mechanical parts supplies are expected to improve in the coming quarters, the firm said.

Venture is the 7th ranked EMS firm in the world, according to the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Top 50.
