SAN DIEGO -- Walter Shimoon, the ex-Flextronics manager who allegedly was involved in insider trading, could be released on bail today.
The former business development manager was granted his release yesterday after posting $120,000 in collateral and agreeing to appear in federal court early next month.
Shimoon used equity in his home as collateral. His wife, a professor at the University of California at San Diego, is reportedly in her third trimester of pregnancy.
Shimoon is accused of illegally sharing inside information about Flextronics' customer Apple to a third party that then passed the information to investors. Flextronics has fired Shimoon.
