TAIPEI – Foxconn, the world’s largest contract electronics manufacturer, and Geely Automobile Holdings, China’s largest private auto maker, are in talks to develop green cars, according to published reports.

Geely said it has also visited UMC, the world's second largest contract chipmaker, to discuss the opportunity of making “intelligent” cars.
