KULIM, KEDAH, MALAYSIA -- Whizz Systems will invest RM14 million ($4.6 million) to establish a PCB design and electronics assembly plant on a 2.36-acre plot here.
Santa Clara, CA-based Whizz Systems, which was founded in 1988, chose the Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP), Kedah, for the new factory.
The company will launch operations in a temporary building in April while construction on a new building takes place. Ground-breaking will be early this year, and the scheduled completion date is two years.
Phase I of the operation will employ at least 30 engineers, according to reports.
