ATTLEBORO FALLS, MA -- Contract electronics manufacturer Distron has started building a 13,000-sq. ft. addition to its headquarters here.
The expansion will increase floor space and overall production capacity by more than 50%, and is is scheduled to be completed in July.
Included in the expansion is a new SMT line and office space for engineering. Distron will hire about 40 workers over the next 18 months as well.
In a press release, president Robert Donovan credited organic growth and potential demand from the LED, cleantech and medical markets.
