BROOKHAVEN, MS — Delphi Packard will invest a reported $15 million to upgrade its printed circuit assembly plant here, a further sign that it has tabled any plans to move production to Mexico.
The site has been open since 1977 and employs more than 200 workers.
Earlier in the year, a contract dispute led to speculation the plant might be closed. According to published reports, Delphi had told union leaders the plant could be shut down if the contract was not renewed before its Oct. 12 expiration. A new deal was reached July 5.
