LAS VEGAS -- Construction of Fabrinet’s newest manufacturing plant remains on track for completion by March 2012, the company told analysts yesterday.
Speaking here at the Deutsche Bank tech conference,CFO Mark Schwartz said Building 6 would be completed as planned, and would help convince potential customers that the electronics manufacturing services company has the ability to handle additional capacity. The new site is located at the company's campus outside Bangkok.
He added that Fabrinet is bullish on the optical communications market as some customers are becoming more optimistic and forecasting sequential growth in the December quarter.
"Fabrinet's comments, coupled with recent positive comments from JD U and others, suggest that the inventory correction may have hit bottom and we would expect demand trends to improve over the next few months," Deutsche Bank analyst Sherri Scribner said.
Fabrinet is a top 20 contract assembly company, according to the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Top 50.
