SKIVE, DENMARK -- Flextronics will shutter its operations here, laying off 286 workers, according to published reports.

The contract assembler will move manufacturing to lower labor cost areas, the reports said, quoting the director of the local operation, Thomas Rosenkrands Olsen.

The plant had a reported $22 million in annual sales.
