BUCKS, UK – A UK-based technical association has released an interactive guide to inspecting for fake components.

“The ChipCheck Inspection of Counterfeit Components Guide” provides an overview of the problem, corrective action and methods of test. The guide also includes answers to commonly asked questions. It is published by the Smart Group, a professional society for electronics designers and manufacturers.
